Superfood is a term you hear a lot these days, but what does it mean exactly? The answer is both complex and straightforward. Antioxidants like anthocyanin are flavonoids that give foods, primarily fruits, and vegetables, their color. They help reduce the damage done by free radicals responsible for everything from aging to cancer. So there is a reason that doctors say to eat more fruits and vegetables. Blueberries can be just one on a long list of feel-good, organic superfoods you add to your diet to look best.

 The chia seed is a highly versatile food, too. You can add it to a superfood shake, salad, or even yogurt to get a little extra nutrition. 

Flaxseed Like the chia seeds, the flaxseed is a powerhouse for omega-3 fatty acids and fiber. It also offers antioxidants and nutrients such as manganese. In addition, the flaxseed contains both soluble and insoluble fiber to keep everything regular.

Add flaxseed to a smoothie along with the best superfood powder you can find for an energy boost, especially if you are cutting back on meat. Flaxseed is high in protein, giving you lasting energy. 

Acai Berry These gorgeous dark purple berries are not as well-known as some of the others on the list, but they are an impressive addition to any superfood diet. They have it all.
